The Seoul Post-2015 Global Development Conference took place on October 7th 2013 in the Republic of Korea. It was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and the UN Development Programme (UNDP). The theme was “implementation and implications”.
The conference sought to identify the possibilities and challenges for implementing the post-2015 development framework, while informing the work of the UNDP, the UN Development Group (UNDG) and the UN Task Team. Looking at how a new framework could work, experts and stakeholders discussed and exchanged ideas on implementing post-2015. Lessons from the implementation of the MDGs were also considered, as well and from more recent processes such as the High Level Panel report on the Post-2015 Development Agenda (HLP) and the Open Working Group (OWG) on Sustainable Development Goals.
